  • 1 package (3 ounces) flavored gelatin Any color or flavor you enjoy
  • 1 package (1 ounce) unflavored gelatin Easy to find in stores
  • 1 cup cold water To cool the mixture
  • assorted pieces gummy candies For decoration
  • as needed units Popsicle molds Soft silicone works well

Preparation

  • Begin by bringing 1 cup of water to a gentle boil in a small saucepan.
  • Stir in the flavored gelatin powder until it dissolves completely.
  • Add the unflavored gelatin slowly, stirring consistently until thickened.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and slowly pour in 1 cup of cold water.
  • Set the gelatin aside to let the mixture settle and gently stir back any surface film.
  • Pour the mixture into your popsicle molds and place gummy candies at various depths.
  • Place the molds in the freezer and let them set for at least four hours or overnight.
  • When ready, run the molds under warm water for a few seconds to release the pops.

Notes

Store finished pops in an airtight container in the freezer. They can last up to a week if kept frozen. Consider wrapping some in small bags for gifts.
