  • 1 each Tea light candles (LED or battery-operated for safety) Opt for LED to ensure safety for children.
  • 1 bottle Paint (non-toxic or washable) Choose colors that kids will enjoy.
  • 1 each Paintbrushes For applying paint to the jars.
  • 1 bottle Glue (craft or school glue) Used for securing decorations.
  • 1 sheets Tissue paper in various colors (optional) For adding color and texture to the lanterns.
  • 1 each Scissors For cutting the tissue paper.
  • 1 each String or wire (for handles, if desired) To create handles on the lanterns.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Clean and dry the glass jars thoroughly to ensure that the paint sticks well.

Design Your Lantern

  • With a paintbrush, apply a base layer of paint to the outer side of the jar in any desired color.

Add Tissue Paper (Optional)

  • Cut tissue paper into fun shapes and use glue to attach them to the jar for added color and texture.

Final Touches

  • Decorate the jar with stickers, glitter, or ribbons. Allow the glue to dry completely.

Insert the Light

  • Place a tea light candle at the bottom of the jar or use a battery-operated light for safety.

Create a Handle (Optional)

  • If desired, wrap string or wire around the rim to create a handle for carrying.

Notes

Color Mixing: Experiment with mixing paint colors for unique shades. Safety First: Always opt for LED tea lights if kids will be playing with the lanterns.
