  • optional Water (to mix with Kool-Aid)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Set up your workspace by covering it with newspaper or an old tablecloth to catch any spills.
  • Place a tray or baking sheet underneath your cups to catch any overflow.

Mixing

  • In a small bowl, mix Kool-Aid powder with a tablespoon of water (or leave it dry for a neater eruption).
  • Stir until combined and set aside.

Building Eruption Cups

  • In each plastic cup, add about 1 tablespoon of baking soda.
  • If using liquid Kool-Aid, pour it over the baking soda. For dry, sprinkle the Kool-Aid on top.

Enjoying

  • Observe the reactions, and don’t hesitate to try again with different flavors or ratios.

Notes

Color Mixing: Try combining different Kool-Aid flavors for unique color blends. Rich Scent: Add a few drops of essential oils along with the Kool-Aid for an aromatic experience. Eruption Size: Adjust the amount of baking soda and vinegar for varying eruption sizes.
