  • 1 cup Water Room temperature is best.

  • 1 piece Paintbrush or pipette For adding food coloring.
  • optional 1 Small funnel Facilitates pouring.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Choose a clean, flat surface and gather all materials. Lay down newspaper or a craft mat to protect the area.

Mix the Base

  • In a mixing container, combine equal parts water and clear liquid soap or glycerin.
  • Stir gently to avoid bubbles.

Add Color

  • Use a pipette or paintbrush to add drops of food coloring into the mixture.
  • Watch as the colors swirl together—this mimics the lava effect!

Pour into Suncatcher

  • Carefully use your funnel to pour the colored mixture into your suncatcher shape.
  • Leave a little space at the top for movement.

Add Glitter

  • If desired, sprinkle a little glitter or small beads into the mixture for extra sparkle.

Seal the Suncatcher

  • If using a plastic suncatcher, ensure it’s properly sealed.
  • If glass, you may need to glue the top with a clear adhesive.
  • Let it sit for a few hours to set.

  • Use a suction cup hook or string to hang it in a window.
