  • 1 cup granulated sugar (white or brown)
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil (melted)
  • 15-20 drops lavender essential oil
  • optional dried lavender buds For added texture

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, pour in 1 cup of granulated sugar.
  • If desired, add dried lavender buds for added texture and visual appeal.
  • Measure out 1/2 cup of melted coconut oil.
  • Slowly pour the melted coconut oil into the sugar, mixing as you go.
  • Add 15-20 drops of lavender essential oil.
  • Mix everything well until combined to create a homogenous scrub.
  • Check the consistency; it should be moist but not overly oily. Adjust by adding more sugar or oil as needed.
  • Transfer the scrub into an airtight container. Use a funnel if necessary to avoid spills.

Notes

Customize by swapping lavender essential oil for other scents like eucalyptus or peppermint. To enhance the scrub's appearance, add natural food coloring or use different sugar sizes for varying textures.
