Ingredients
  

For the Scarecrow Jars

  • 1 large large mason jar For the main scarecrow body.
  • 1 small small mason jar or jar lid Used for the scarecrow's hat or body.
  • 1 pack yellow and orange tissue paper For decorating the jar.
  • 1 bottle Mod Podge or white craft glue To adhere tissue paper.
  • 1 pack fake straw or raffia For decorative neck area.
  • 1 piece battery-operated tea light To illuminate the jar.
  • 1 small piece of burlap or fabric Used for the scarecrow hat.
  • 1 marker or paint black marker or paint To draw the face on the jar.
  • 1 scissors Required for cutting materials.
  • 1 paintbrush If using Mod Podge.
  • 1 hot glue gun Optional for adding elements.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Wash and dry your mason jars thoroughly.
  • Cut the yellow and orange tissue paper into small squares or strips.

Decoration

  • Use the Mod Podge or craft glue to apply a layer on the jar.
  • Place the tissue paper squares over the glue and press down gently, ensuring coverage.
  • Continue until the entire jar is covered. Allow it to dry completely.

Creating the Scarecrow Face

  • Cut a small square of burlap or fabric and glue it to the top of the jar as a hat.
  • Use a black marker or paint to draw a happy scarecrow face on the front of the jar.

Finishing Touches

  • Glue fake straw or raffia around the neck area of the scarecrow for a fun touch.
  • Place the battery-operated tea light inside the jar, ensuring it’s securely positioned.

Notes

Experiment with different colored tissue paper to match your décor. If using outdoors, consider waterproof lights and seal all edges with Mod Podge.
