Ingredients
  

Materials Needed

  • 1 bottle Clean, empty plastic bottle with a cap Ensure the bottle is washed and dried.
  • 1 cup Distilled water (or tap water) Distilled water prevents mineral buildup.
  • 1/2 cup Clear glue or liquid glycerin Glycerin is a good substitute for glue.
  • a few drops Food coloring (preferably blue or purple) Add more or less to achieve desired hue.
  • 1-2 tablespoons Fine glitter (like silver or metallic) Adds a sparkly effect.
  • 1 Funnel (optional) For easier pouring into the bottle.

Preparation

  • Ensure the plastic bottle is thoroughly washed and dried.
  • Remove any labels from the bottle.

Mixing Your Mixture

  • Pour 1 cup of distilled water into a mixing container.
  • Stir in 1/2 cup of clear glue or glycerin until well blended.
  • Mix in a few drops of food coloring until you reach your desired stormy hue.
  • Sprinkle in about 1-2 tablespoons of fine glitter for that sparkly effect.

Fill the Bottle

  • Use the funnel to pour the mixture into the plastic bottle, filling it about 2/3 full.
  • Screw the cap on tightly to prevent any spills.

Final Touch

  • Fill the rest of the bottle with distilled water, leaving some air at the top.
  • Gently shake the bottle to mix the contents and see the storm in action!

Notes

Experiment with colors and different types of glitter for unique effects. Use a larger bottle for a more dramatic storm. You can add essential oils for enhanced sensory experience.
