Ingredients
  

Materials for Magic Milk Art

  • 1 cup Whole milk (or any milk with a high fat content) Best results with whole milk.
  • various drops Food coloring (various colors) Use different colors for more visual impact.
  • 1 tbsp Dish soap To create the swirling effect.
  • 1 shallow dish Shallow dish or tray To hold the milk.
  • 1 piece Cotton swabs or toothpicks To create designs in the milk.
  • 1 roll Paper towels For cleanup.
  • optional Glitter or sprinkles For added effect.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Lay down paper towels to catch spills.
  • Set your shallow dish or tray in front of you.

Pouring Milk

  • Gently pour enough milk into the dish to cover the base (about 1/2 inch deep).

Adding Colors

  • Drop small amounts of food coloring onto the milk. Use different colors for more visual impact.
  • Watch as the colors settle and spread slightly.

Creating the Swirls

  • Dip a cotton swab or toothpick into dish soap.
  • Briefly touch the end of the cotton swab to the surface of the milk.
  • Enjoy watching the colors burst and swirl dramatically!

Experimenting

  • Try different patterns by moving the cotton swab across the milk.
  • Mix colors to create swirls or designs that appeal to you.

Notes

Consider using almond milk or oat milk for a different effect. Try various color combinations and add glitter for extra sparkle. Supervise kids to ensure they do not ingest soap.
