  • 1 shallow dish Shallow dish or plate Essential for observing the reaction.
  • 1 piece Cotton swabs or toothpicks Used to apply dish soap.
  • 1 dropper Dropper (optional) For adding food coloring.

Preparation

  • Choose a flat surface and lay down some paper towels to catch spills.
  • Place the shallow dish or plate in the center.

Execution

  • Pour enough milk into the dish to cover the bottom completely.
  • Using the dropper or directly from the food coloring bottles, add a few drops of different food colors onto the milk's surface.
  • Dip a cotton swab in the dish soap and gently touch the soap-dipped end to the milk's surface.
  • Observe how the colors swirl and spread in mesmerizing patterns.

Cleanup

  • Once finished, clean your workspace and dispose of any materials responsibly.

Notes

For an extra visual effect, you can sprinkle edible glitter or confetti into the milk. Supervise toddlers closely and use non-toxic materials for safety.
