Magical Gelatin Air Fresheners

Main Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin
- 1/4 cup salt To help preserve the mixture
- 1 tablespoon essential oil Your choice of fragrance
- food coloring Optional, for customizing colors
- small jars or silicone molds For setting the mixture
- spoon for stirring
Instructions
Preparation
- In a saucepan, heat 1 cup of water over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
- Slowly stir in 2 tablespoons of unflavored gelatin. Mix well until completely dissolved, creating a smooth mixture.
Add Fragrance and Color
- Remove the saucepan from heat and add 1/4 cup of salt (to help preserve the mixture).
- Stir in 1 tablespoon of your chosen essential oil for fragrance.
- If desired, add a few drops of food coloring to achieve the desired tint, and mix thoroughly.
Pour into Containers
- Carefully pour the mixture into small jars or silicone molds.
- Allow to cool slightly before transferring to the refrigerator.
Set and Enjoy
- Let the air fresheners set in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
- Once set, remove from the molds (if using) and place them in desired locations around your home.
Notes
You can customize scents by combining different essential oils. Use decorative jars, tins, or ice cube trays for fun shapes, and add dried flowers or herbs for an extra touch of elegance.
