Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of water with 1 tablespoon of liquid watercolor or food coloring. Stir well until the color is fully dissolved.
- Gradually add 1 tablespoon of cornstarch to your mixture while stirring. This will help thicken the paint slightly and give it a smoother spray.
- Mix thoroughly until you achieve a uniform consistency. Ensure there are no lumps of cornstarch.
- Using a funnel, pour the mixture into a small spray bottle. Secure the lid and shake gently to combine before use.
- Before applying to your project, test the spray on a scrap piece of paper or canvas. Adjust with more water or cornstarch if needed.
Creating
- Hold the spray bottle about 6–12 inches away from your surface and spray in sweeping motions. Experiment with different distances and spraying techniques.
