Ingredients
  

Slime Base

  • 1 cup white school glue Essential for the slime base.
  • 1/2 cup water To mix with the glue.
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda Adds elasticity to the slime.
  • 1 tablespoon liquid laundry detergent or contact lens solution To activate the slime.

Magnetic Components

  • iron filings Iron filings Available at craft or science stores.
  • 1 strong magnet strong magnet To observe the magnetic properties.

Optional Additives

  • as needed food coloring To customize the color of the slime.

Instructions
 

Create the Slime Base

  • In a bowl, combine 1 cup of white school glue with 1/2 cup of water. Stir until fully blended.
  • Mix in 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda for added elasticity.

Activate the Slime

  • Slowly add 1 tablespoon of liquid laundry detergent or contact lens solution. Stir gradually until the mixture begins to thicken.
  • Once it’s thick enough, use your hands to knead the slime until smooth. If it’s too sticky, add a bit more detergent.

Add the Magic

  • Gently blend in the iron filings until they are evenly distributed.
  • Take your strong magnet and hover it over the slime. Watch it stretch and move toward the magnet.

Notes

Store the slime in an airtight container to maintain its texture and prevent drying out. Experiment with different types of magnetic substances for varied effects.
