  • 1 cup cornstarch Adjust the amount for desired consistency.
  • Food coloring (optional) For adding vibrant colors to the playdough.
  • Essential oils (optional for scent) Choose kid-safe options.

Preparation

  • Clear a clean surface to work on and gather all materials within reach.

Cooking

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine mini marshmallows and vegetable oil.
  • Microwave for 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the marshmallows are fully melted and gooey.
  • Gradually add cornstarch to the melted marshmallows, stirring until the mixture starts to combine.
  • Once cool enough to handle, knead the dough with your hands. Add food coloring and/or essential oils if desired.
  • Mold the playdough into different shapes or figures.
  • Store any unused dough in an airtight container to keep it fresh.

Notes

You can divide the dough to use different colors and use various scents. Adding powdered sugar can give a sweeter texture.
