Instructions

Preparation

  • Rinse your mason jar thoroughly to ensure it’s clean.
  • Choose a flat surface to work on and lay down some newspaper or a towel.

Assembling the Aquarium

  • Pour a layer of decorative gravel or stones into the bottom of the jar.
  • If using real plants, trim the roots to fit the jar.
  • Use tweezers or chopsticks to gently place the plants into the gravel.
  • Carefully pour in distilled water, allowing it to flow over the plants without displacing them.
  • Place any small figurines or decorations in your aquarium.
  • Secure the jar lid if desired, or leave it open for a more natural look.

Notes

Customize plants for maintenance-free options, use colored gravel to match decor, and incorporate fish after setting up for a week.
