Materials

  • 1 bag Plastic beads (perler beads or pony beads) Use various colors for creative designs.
  • 1 mold Metal suncatcher mold or silicone mold Choose shapes you prefer.
  • 1 sheet Baking sheet
  • 1 sheet Parchment paper To line the baking sheet.
  • 1 each Oven Set to 400°F (200°C).
  • 1 pair Oven mitts For safely handling hot items.
  • 1 optional Spray adhesive For attaching hanging wire or string.
  • 1 length Wire or string For hanging the suncatcher.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Place parchment paper on a baking sheet.
  • Arrange your plastic beads in the mold to create designs.

Melting Process

  • Place the mold in the preheated oven.
  • Bake for 10-20 minutes until beads are melted and smooth.
  • Carefully remove the baking sheet using oven mitts.

Cooling Down

  • Let the mold cool completely before removing the suncatcher.
  • Gently push the suncatcher out once it’s cool.

Prepare for Hanging

  • Optionally spray the back with adhesive and attach wire or string.
  • Allow it to dry.

Notes

Consider creating multiple suncatchers or hosting a crafting party for more fun. You can incorporate glitter or create themed designs.
