  • 1 pack Perler beads (various colors)
  • 1 pan Baking pan (non-stick or lined with parchment paper)
  • 1 sheet Parchment paper (if needed) If you prefer minimizing mess during baking
  • 1 unit Oven For melting the beads
  • 1 unit Cookie cutter (optional, for shapes) For creating specific shapes
  • 1 string Hooks or strings (for hanging) To hang your suncatcher
  • to taste Optional: Paint or glitter for decoration For additional embellishments

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure even melting of the beads.

Arrange Beads

  • Choose your color palette and place the beads in your desired patterns on the baking pan.
  • If using a cookie cutter, position it on the pan and fill it with beads.

Melting Process

  • Cover the beads with parchment paper if you want to minimize mess.
  • Carefully place the baking pan in the preheated oven.
  • Bake for about 10-15 minutes, keeping an eye on them to prevent over-melting.

Cooling

  • Once melted, carefully remove the pan from the oven and allow the beads to cool completely; they will solidify as they cool.

Finish Up

  • Once cooled, gently pop the suncatcher out of the pan.
  • Attach hooks or strings if desired for hanging.

Notes

Experiment with shape variations using different cookie cutters and layer different colors for a marbled effect. Add paint or glitter for extra flair once cooled.
