Melted Bead Suncatchers
Create colorful and charming melted bead suncatchers that capture sunlight and brighten up your spaces.
Ingredients
Materials
- 1 container Perler beads (any color) Any color combination can be used.
- 1 unit Metal baking pan or silicone mold A mold is necessary for shaping.
- 1 sheet Parchment paper (optional) Use for easy removal of the suncatcher.
- 1 unit Oven Set to 350°F (175°C).
- 1 unit Cooling rack For cooling the melted beads.
- 1 string Ribbon or wire (for hanging) To create a hanging loop.
Instructions
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Arrange a layer of Perler beads in your baking pan or mold, mixing colors for a marbled effect.
- Optionally, line the baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
Baking
- Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, until the beads are fully melted.
- Watch closely to prevent over-melting.
Cooling and Finishing
- Carefully remove the pan from the oven and let it cool on a rack for at least 30 minutes.
- Once cool, gently pop out the melted bead shape from the pan.
- Use a ribbon or wire to create a loop for hanging and attach it to the top of your suncatcher.
