  • 1 piece Parchment paper To line the baking sheet.
  • 1 piece Oven Set to 200°F (93°C).
  • 1 piece Cooling rack For cooling the suncatchers after baking.

Preparation

  • Gather all your materials in a clean, bright workspace.
  • Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C).

Prepare the Crayons

  • Remove the paper from the crayons.
  • Break or crumble the crayons into small pieces.

Set Up the Mold

  • Evenly distribute the crayon pieces into the heart-shaped cookie cutter or shamrock mold on the baking sheet.
  • Layer different shades of green for a dynamic effect.

Melt in the Oven

  • Place the baking sheet in the oven and watch closely as the crayons melt (this could take around 15-20 minutes).
  • Enjoy the sweet scent of melting wax as the crayons become a colorful liquid.

Cool and Unmold

  • Once melted and smooth, carefully take the baking sheet out of the oven.
  • Allow the melted crayons to cool completely, about 30-60 minutes.
  • Once cooled, gently remove the suncatcher from the mold.
