  • 1 piece Cotton swabs or toothpicks For swirling colors
  • 1 piece Optional: A dropper or pipette For precise application of colors

Preparation

  • Lay down some paper towels to catch any spills.
  • Gather all materials and place them within arm's reach.

Creating the Color Explosion

  • Pour enough milk into the shallow dish to cover the bottom.
  • Add a few drops of food coloring in different sections of the milk.
  • Dip a cotton swab or toothpick in dish soap and gently touch it to the milk's surface near the food coloring.
  • Use the cotton swab or toothpick to swirl the colors or create patterns.

Notes

Customize Colors: Mix primary colors to create secondary colors. Swap Materials: Use almond milk or lactose-free milk for a dairy-free option. Add Glitter: For extra sparkle, sprinkle some edible glitter on top before swirling.
