  • 4-5 pieces Small mushroom figurines or real miniature mushrooms Choose your favorite style.
  • 1 cup Live moss (such as sheet moss or pillow moss) Must be fresh and healthy.

  • 1 piece Spray bottle For watering the moss.

Preparation

  • Start by cleaning your glass container with soap and water. Ensure it’s dry before use.
  • Pour a thin layer of clean pebbles or gravel at the bottom of the container for drainage.
  • Add a thin layer of activated charcoal to keep the terrarium fresh and odor-free.
  • Add a layer of potting soil about 2-3 inches deep, making sure it’s level.
  • Gently press your live moss into the soil, covering it evenly.
  • Position the mushroom figurines or real miniature mushrooms in a visually appealing manner.
  • Optionally, add any decorative elements like small stones, twigs, or tiny figures.
  • Using the spray bottle, lightly mist the moss to provide moisture, being careful not to overwater.

Notes

Customize your terrarium with different types of moss or mushrooms for varied styling. You can add fairy lights to illuminate it and make seasonal decorations to keep it fresh.
