Ingredients
  

Volcano Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons Baking soda
  • 1 cup White vinegar
  • to taste Food coloring (red or other colors) Choose any color for the lava effect.
  • 1 A small plastic bottle (or a cup)
  • 1 Tray or shallow dish To catch the overflow.
  • Optional: Modeling clay or dough To shape the volcano.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Mold the modeling clay or dough around the small plastic bottle to shape your volcano, leaving the top open.
  • Place the volcano in the center of a tray or shallow dish.

Mixing Ingredients

  • Pour 4 tablespoons of baking soda into the bottle or cup at the top of your volcano.
  • Drip in a few drops of food coloring to create a vibrant mixture.

Eruption

  • Slowly pour 1 cup of white vinegar into the bottle with the baking soda mixture.
  • Watch the fizzing and bubbling as the vinegar reacts with the baking soda, creating an eruption.

Notes

This experiment is safe for children but should be supervised by an adult to avoid ingestion of any materials. Custom colors and decorations can enhance creativity.
