Instructions
Preparation
- Clear a flat surface and cover it with wax paper to protect from clay or paint spills.
Shaping
- Take a portion of air-dry clay.
- Knead the clay until it's soft and workable.
- Roll the clay into a ball, then gently flatten it with your hands or a rolling pin to form a round shape.
Texturing
- Use your fingers or tools to carve craters and surface details on the moon.
- Explore a variety of textures; the more detailed, the better!
Drying
- Place the shaped moon on a flat surface and let it air dry completely (this may take 24-48 hours).
Painting
- Once dry, use a paintbrush to apply a coat of acrylic paint.
- Allow the first coat to dry before adding additional layers for depth.
Glittering
- While the paint is still slightly tacky, sprinkle glitter to add a magical touch.
Sealing
