  • 1 sheet Wax paper or parchment paper To protect your work surface.
  • 1 stiff board A stiff board (like a cutting board) To build your towers upon.
  • 1 cup Small candies For decoration.
  • 1 pair Scissors To help with the piping bags.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Set up a clean, flat surface where you can work comfortably.
  • Lay down wax paper or parchment paper to protect the surface.

Prepare Sugar Mixture

  • In a bowl, mix granulated sugar with a few drops of food coloring.
  • Stir until the sugar is evenly colored. Adjust color intensity as desired.

Make the Icing

  • If using egg whites, whisk until stiff peaks form. If using meringue powder, mix according to package instructions.
  • This icing will act as your glue.

Form Sugar Towers

  • Fill piping bags with the icing.
  • Pipe small dollops of icing on your base (cutting board) to create a foundation.
  • Layer the colored sugar on top, building upwards in a tower shape.
  • Use icing to stick pieces together and secure them.

Add Decorations

  • Once the towers are built, pipe additional icing around the edges.
  • Sprinkle with small candies for a fun accent.
  • Let the towers dry for at least 1-2 hours.

  • Once dry, your colorful sugar towers are ready to be showcased or enjoyed!

Notes
