- 1 piece Butter knife For spreading the peanut butter or lard

Instructions
Preparation
- Wash the apples gently under cool water, wiping their skins to reveal their natural shine.
- Use the butter knife to slice the apples in half.
- Spread a small amount of peanut butter or lard onto the cut surfaces of the apple halves.
- Sprinkle birdseed generously over the peanut butter or lard.
- Cut a length of twine about two feet long and secure one end through the center of the apple, tying a simple knot.
- Tie the other end to a branch or hook.
- Find a suitable spot outside to hang the feeder.

- Observe the feeder and enjoy the presence of birds that come to visit.
Notes
For longevity, consider adding a thin layer of melted lard before spreading peanut butter. You can also use different fruits and decorate the feeder to attract more birds.
