Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound melt-and-pour soap base (glycerin or shea butter)
  • soap colorants (optional) Choose your favorite colors.
  • essential oils (your choice of scent) Add 10-15 drops for fragrance.
  • soap molds (silicone molds work great)
  • rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle To eliminate bubbles.
  • microwave-safe container
  • stirring utensil (wooden stick or spoon)
  • optional additives like dried flowers, oatmeal, or exfoliants For added texture.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cover your work surface with newspaper or paper towels to catch spills.
  • Gather all your materials at hand for easy access.

Melting the Soap Base

  • Cut the soap base into small cubes for even melting.
  • Place cubes into a microwave-safe container.
  • Heat in short bursts (30 seconds), stirring in between, until fully melted.

Adding Color and Fragrance

  • Once melted, add desired soap colorant a few drops at a time until you achieve the desired hue.
  • Add 10-15 drops of essential oils for scent. Stir well to incorporate.

Pouring into Molds

  • Carefully pour the mixture into soap molds. Fill to the desired height.
  • If desired, sprinkle optional additives like dried flowers or oatmeal on top.

Removing Air Bubbles

  • Lightly spray the surface with rubbing alcohol to eliminate any bubbles that form.

Setting the Soap

  • Allow soap to cool and harden completely. This can take 1-3 hours depending on thickness.

Unmolding

  • Carefully pop the soap out of the molds.
  • Your soap is now ready to use or gift!

Notes

Experiment with different colorants and fragrances. Pair your soaps with homemade labels and packaging for a personal touch. Consider creating themed sets for gifts.
