  • 2 pieces Colorful leaves (e.g., maple, birch) Make sure they are of equal size for the wings.
  • 1 piece Twig or thin branch Choose a sturdy twig for the body.
  • 1 piece Scissors For trimming twigs to desired length.
  • 1 bottle Craft glue or hot glue gun Hot glue can speed up the drying process but requires caution.
  • 1 set Markers or paints To add designs to the leaves.
  • 1 optional Googly eyes Use for added character.
  • 1 piece String or wire For hanging the dragonfly, if desired.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Go outside and collect colorful leaves, twigs, and any other natural elements that inspire you.
  • Select a sturdy twig to serve as your dragonfly's body and trim it to your desired length using scissors.

Crafting

  • Choose two leaves of equal size for the wings and optionally paint or draw designs on them.
  • Apply a generous amount of glue to one end of the twig and press the leaves firmly onto the glued end, positioning them in a 'V' shape.
  • Use googly eyes or paint to create eyes on the body and add any additional decorative elements.
  • If you wish to hang your dragonfly, tie a piece of string or wire around the body and secure it with glue.
  • Allow the glue to dry completely before displaying your dragonfly.

Notes

You can customize your dragonflies by using different types of leaves or adding beads for decoration. Always supervise young children when using sharp or hot tools.
