Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 8 cups popcorn (popped, plain)
  • 1 cup Sour Patch Kids
  • 1 cup neon candy melts (various colors) Can substitute with traditional candy melts or white chocolate dyed with food coloring.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Pop the Corn: Start with 1/2 cup of kernel popcorn and pop it according to package instructions.
  • Cool Down: Spread the popcorn out on a parchment-lined baking sheet to cool completely.

Melt the Candy

  • Melt the Candy Melts: In a microwave-safe bowl, microwave the neon candy melts. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until completely melted and smooth.
  • Add Popcorn: Pour the cooled popcorn into the melted candy bowl, stirring gently to coat the popcorn evenly.

Combine with Sour Patch Kids

  • Fold in the Sour Patch Kids: Once the popcorn is fully coated, gently fold in the Sour Patch Kids until uniformly distributed throughout.

Shape the Clusters

  • Form Clusters: Using your hands, grab small handfuls of the mixture and press them together to form clusters.
  • Set on Baking Sheet: Place the clusters back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.

Let It Set

  • Cool Completely: Allow the clusters to set for about 30 minutes until the candy melts solidify.

Notes

For variations, consider using flavored popcorn or different candies. Store clusters in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
