  • 1 stick Glue stick or craft glue For attaching the tissue paper.
  • to taste optional Glitter To add sparkle to the artwork.
  • 1 piece Paintbrush For spreading glue (optional).
  • as needed optional Star stickers or sequins For embellishing the fireworks display.

Preparation

  • Cover your workspace with newspaper or a disposable tablecloth to catch any glue or glitter spills.
  • Cut the colored tissue paper into small squares or shapes, with larger circles and jagged edges for a more explosive effect.
  • Lay the black construction paper flat to act as your night sky background.

Crafting Steps

  • Apply glue in the shapes of firework bursts.
  • Place the tissue paper squares over the glue, layering them for a more dynamic and colorful explosion effect.
  • If desired, sprinkle glitter over the glued areas while the glue is still wet to create a sparkling effect.
  • Add star stickers or sequins to enhance the fireworks display.
  • Allow your artwork to dry completely before displaying.

Notes

Experiment with different colors of tissue paper, and incorporate mixed media for added flair. Host a crafting station for a party atmosphere.
