Preparation

  • Find a clean, flat surface to work on. Lay down old newspapers or a tablecloth for easy cleanup.
  • In a mixing bowl, add 1 cup of liquid soap.
  • Gradually add 1/2 cup of cornstarch, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  • If desired, add drops of food coloring and a few drops of scented oils. Mix well until color is evenly distributed.
  • Use your hands to knead the mixture until it reaches a smooth, pliable consistency. It should feel stretchy and not too sticky.
  • If it’s too sticky, add more cornstarch.
  • Place the finished slime into an airtight container to keep it fresh. Store it in a cool, dry place.

Notes

Experiment with different colored soaps for unique appearances. You can also add fine glitter or small beads for additional texture. This slime is safe for kids, but supervision is recommended to avoid ingestion.
