Ocean Ice Melt

Ingredients
For the Ice
- 2 cups Water
- 1 small containers Clear plastic containers (like ice trays or small cups) Choose as many as needed for different ice blocks.
- 1 assorted Small ocean-themed toys (e.g., plastic sea creatures, shells) As many toys as desired to include in the ice.
- few drops Food coloring (blue and green recommended) To mimic ocean hues.
- optional Salt For added melting effect.
Instructions
Preparation
- Choose your clear plastic containers.
- Add small ocean-themed toys to each container.
- Fill the containers with water, leaving space at the top for the toys.
- Add a few drops of food coloring to mimic ocean hues.
Freezing
- Carefully transfer the containers to the freezer.
- Let them freeze for several hours, or overnight for best results.
Melting Station Setup
- Once frozen, remove the ice blocks from the containers.
- Place the ice blocks on a baking sheet or shallow tray.
- Sprinkle a bit of salt on top to speed up the melting process, if desired.

- Encourage kids to touch the ice and describe how it feels.

Notes
