Ocean Slime
A fun and engaging craft that captures the essence of the ocean, perfect for sensory play and creativity.
Ingredients
Slime Base Ingredients
- 1 cup white school glue
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup liquid laundry detergent
- as needed blue food coloring Add several drops to achieve desired color
Optional Ingredients
- small plastic ocean toys (e.g., starfish, shells)
- glitter optional, for shimmer
Instructions
Preparation
- In a bowl, combine 1 cup of white school glue with 1 cup of water. Stir the mixture until it’s smooth and well-blended.
- Add several drops of blue food coloring to your glue mixture. Stir until you achieve your desired ocean color.
- Gradually add 1/2 cup of liquid laundry detergent to the mixture. Mix thoroughly until the slime starts to form.
- Once formed, take the slime out of the bowl and start kneading it with your hands.
- Fold in glitter (if using) for extra sparkle and incorporate your small plastic ocean toys for added fun.
Notes
Store slime in an airtight container to keep it fresh for future play. Experiment with different food coloring shades for variations, and add small beads or foam balls for crunchiness.
