Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of cornstarch with 1/2 cup of water.
  • Stir the mixture with a spoon or whisk until you achieve a consistent, gooey texture.
  • If you want colored Oobleck, add a few drops of food coloring and mix thoroughly.

Filling the Balloon

  • Carefully stretch the neck of the balloon wide enough to avoid spills.
  • Use a funnel to pour the Oobleck mixture into the balloon. Fill it about halfway full to ensure it can be squeezed.

Securing the Balloon

  • Once filled, carefully tie the balloon neck to secure the Oobleck inside.
  • If desired, you can double the balloon for added strength and durability.
