Ingredients
  

Materials for Bubble Painting

  • 1 batch Bubble solution (store-bought or homemade) Homemade solution: mix 1 cup water, 2 tbsp dish soap, and 1 tbsp sugar.
  • non-toxic amount Watercolor paint Multiple colors recommended for a vibrant palette.
  • 1 shallow container Shallow container or bowl For mixing colors and creating bubbles.
  • 1 straw Straw For blowing bubbles (can also use a bubble wand).
  • 1 sheet Thick paper (watercolor paper works well) This will be used to capture the bubble prints.
  • 1 tray Tray or workspace protection Newspaper or an old tablecloth is recommended.
  • 1 piece Optional protective clothing Apron or old shirt to protect your clothes.

Preparation

  • Cover your table with newspaper or an old cloth to catch spills.
  • Gather all materials within reach.

Creating Bubbles

  • If using store-bought bubble solution, skip to the next step.
  • For homemade bubble solution, mix 1 cup of water, 2 tablespoons of dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of sugar.
  • Pour a small amount of watercolor paint into the shallow container, using multiple colors for a vibrant palette.
  • Dip the straw into the bubble solution and blow gently to create bubbles, avoiding inhaling.

Painting

  • When bubbles rise above the rim of the container, carefully place your thick paper directly over them.
  • As bubbles pop, they leave colorful prints and splotches on the paper.

Finishing Up

  • Allow your artwork to dry completely, which might take a few hours.
  • Once dry, display your colorful creations proudly!

Notes

You can experiment with different types of paints (e.g., adding glitter or using fabric dye). Cut the paper into shapes for dynamic artwork. Consider using a bubble wand for larger bubbles.
