Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 6 halves Clean eggshells (halved and dried) Ensure no membrane remains.
  • 1/2 cup Epsom salt or sugar Epsom salt is preferred for better crystal formation.
  • 1/2 cup Boiling water Use to dissolve the salt or sugar.
  • a few drops Food coloring (pink or your choice) Customize the color according to preference.

  • 2 Small bowls For mixing the crystal solution.
  • 1 Spoon For stirring the solution.
  • 1 Baking tray To hold the eggshells.
  • 1 Paper towels For drying and cleaning.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Carefully crack open your eggs and save the halves.
  • Rinse and dry the eggshells thoroughly, ensuring no membrane remains.

Creating the Crystal Solution

  • In a small bowl, mix 1/2 cup of Epsom salt (or sugar) with 1/2 cup of boiling water.
  • Stir the mixture until the salt (or sugar) is fully dissolved.
  • Add a few drops of food coloring to achieve your desired shade of pink.

Filling the Eggshells

  • Pour the crystal solution into each cleaned eggshell, filling them about 3/4 full.
  • Place the filled eggshells carefully on a baking tray to catch any spills.

Waiting for Crystals

  • Allow the eggshells to sit undisturbed for at least 24 hours.

Revealing Your Geodes

  • After 24 hours, check your crystals! Carefully remove the eggshells and rinse off any excess solution.
  • Allow them to air dry, and admire your beautiful pink geode creations!

Notes

Experiment with colors and designs. Consider using glitter for additional sparkle. You can also use plaster instead of eggshells for a sturdier look.
