Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 4-6 pieces Clean eggshells Use eggshells from 4 to 6 eggs, cleaned and dried.
  • A few drops Pink food coloring Adjust amount based on desired color intensity.
  • 1 cup Water For mixing with food coloring.

Supplies

  • 1 bottle Glue (white school glue or Mod Podge)
  • 1 cup Epsom salts or sugar For adding texture to the geodes.
  • 1 sheet Wax paper or parchment paper For drying the geodes.
  • 1 piece Baking tray To place the geodes while drying.
  • 1 piece Paintbrush For applying glue.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Carefully wash and dry the eggshells.
  • Use an eggshell cutter or knife to gently crack them and separate them into two parts.

Coloring

  • In a small bowl, mix water with a few drops of pink food coloring.
  • Submerge the cleaned eggshells in the pink water for a few minutes.
  • Remove and let them drip dry on wax paper.

Gluing and Texturing

  • Once dry, apply a thin layer of glue on the inside of the eggshell halves with a paintbrush.
  • While the glue is wet, sprinkle in Epsom salts or sugar to cover all the glued surface.

Drying

  • Place your geodes on a baking tray and leave them to dry completely, which may take a few hours or overnight for best results.

Notes

Customize colors and textures by experimenting with different food colorings, glitters, and salts. Use as centerpieces or gifts.
