Ingredients
  

Materials

  • 1 each Empty plastic bottles (any size)
  • 1 each Scissors
  • 1 set Paint or permanent markers
  • 1 each Paintbrush (if using paint)
  • 1 each Wire or sturdy string (for hanging)
  • optional Beads or embellishments
  • optional Hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • optional Garden stakes (for ground placement)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Clean the plastic bottles thoroughly and remove labels. Dry completely.

Cutting the Wings

  • Use scissors to cut the bottle into sections and cut two symmetrical wing shapes from the upper portion.

Painting the Wings

  • Apply chosen paint colors to the wings using a brush or markers and let dry completely.

Assembling the Dragonfly

  • Trim the top of the bottle to create the body and secure wings with glue or wire. Add beads for eyes if desired.

Attaching for Hanging

  • Use wire or string to create a hanging loop or insert into the ground using garden stakes.

Notes

Experiment with glow-in-the-dark paint for a night-time effect; attach glitter for extra sparkle. Adjust bottle sizes for varied dragonfly sizes and try different material for wings.
