  • 1 bottle Clean plastic bottles (clear or colored) Any size, preferably soda bottles for best results.
  • 1 pair Scissors
  • 1 set Paint (acrylic or glass paint) Choose vibrant colors for best effect.
  • 1 set Paintbrushes Different sizes for detail work.
  • 1 piece Wire or string for hanging Ensure it's strong enough to support the suncatcher.
  • 1 piece Hot glue gun Optional, for attaching multiple pieces.

Instructions
 

Prepare the Bottles

  • Clean the plastic bottle thoroughly and remove any labels and residue.
  • Using scissors, cut the bottle to create flower shapes, making circular disks with slits that radiate outward.

Shape the Flowers

  • Gently pull or curl the edges of the petals outward to form a natural flower shape.
  • Optionally, heat the edges of the petals with a heat gun or candle to further shape them.

Paint Your Flowers

  • Decorate the flower petals using paint, experimenting with different colors and patterns.
  • Allow the paint to dry completely before proceeding.

Assemble the Suncatcher

  • Use glue to attach additional pieces like smaller flowers or embellishments.
  • Create a hanging loop using wire or string.

Display Your Art

  • Hang your suncatcher in a window, garden, or another spot that receives sunlight.
