  • 1 piece clean pop bottle (preferably clear or light-colored)
  • 1 set battery-operated LED lights or glow sticks Use LED lights for better illumination.

  • 1 pair scissors For cutting the bottle.
  • 1 piece wire or string (for hanging)
  • optional googly eyes, glitter, adhesive (like glue or tape) For additional decoration.

Preparation

  • Clean the pop bottle thoroughly and remove any labels.
  • Use scissors to cut the bottle’s top off (about a third down).

Decoration

  • Color the outside with markers or attach tissue paper using glue to create beautiful patterns.
  • Consider adding googly eyes for added cuteness!

Insert Lights

  • If using LED lights, carefully place them inside the bottle.
  • If using a glow stick, activate it and drop it in, then securely seal the top if needed.

Create Hanging Option

  • Use wire or string to create a loop at the top of your firefly for easy hanging.

Display

  • Find a spot in your garden or home to hang your glowing creations and enjoy the enchanting effect.
