  • 10 pieces Popsicle sticks (wooden) Use as many as needed for your flags.
  • 1 set Acrylic paints or markers Select colors for your flag design.
  • 1 set Paintbrushes For applying paint.
  • 1 bottle Craft glue or hot glue gun To assemble the flag.
  • 2 meters Ribbon or string (optional) For hanging the flags.
  • 1 piece Scissors Needed if using ribbon/string.
  • 1 set Decorative items (stickers, glitter, washi tape, etc.) For personalizing your flags.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather your popsicle sticks; choose to paint them in different colors to represent different sections of the flag. Lay them out on a clean workspace.

Painting

  • Use acrylic paints or markers to create your flag’s design. Start with a base coat and let it dry; then add stripes, stars, or any other symbols.
  • Tip: Experiment with textures by using a sponge for a cloud-like effect!

Assembly

  • Once the paint is dry, take two or more sticks to build the shape of your flag; overlap them or place them side by side.
  • Secure them together with craft glue or a hot glue gun. Press firmly and allow to dry.

Finishing Touches

  • Decorate the flag with stickers, glitter, or washi tape for a pop of excitement.
  • If desired, attach a ribbon or string at the top so it can be hung or waved.

Notes

Consider using fabric pieces instead of paper for a cool flag effect. Customize flags for various events, like national holidays or team colors. Experiment with different stick sizes for larger or smaller flags.
