  • 1 bottle Baby oil Easily available at most stores.
  • 1 dish Small dish or bowl (for the oil)
  • 1 pair Tweezers (optional but helpful) To gently handle the flowers.
  • 1 roll Paper towels For drying the flowers.
  • 1 scissors Scissors To trim the flowers.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Select your flowers, looking for vibrant and intact blooms, free from any wilting or damage.
  • Gently rinse the flowers if needed, then carefully pat them dry with a paper towel.
  • Trim the stems of the flowers to your desired length.
  • Pour a small amount of baby oil into the dish, enough to fully submerge the stems.

Preserving

  • Dip each flower stem into the baby oil, allowing it to soak for a few moments.
  • Place each flower upright in a separate area to dry slightly.
  • After a few minutes, lay them flat on another paper towel to let any excess oil drip off.
  • Pat the flowers gently to remove any pooling oil.
  • Allow the flowers to sit at room temperature for a few hours to fully absorb the oil and dry.

Notes

Store preserved flowers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain their colors. To restore shine, reapply a small amount of baby oil as needed.
