  • 5 Clean Pringle lids (plastic) Ensure they're free from crumbs and grease.
  • 1 sheet Transparent contact paper or clear varnish For sealing the designs.
  • 1 Permanent markers or acrylic paint Use to create designs.
  • 1 Scissors For cutting the contact paper.
  • 1 Craft knife (optional for adult use) For making holes in the lids.
  • 1 length String or fishing line For hanging the suncatchers.
  • optional Decorative items (glitter, beads, or pressed flowers) For additional decoration.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Clean and dry the Pringle lids thoroughly, ensuring they are free from crumbs and grease.

Design Your Suncatcher

  • Use permanent markers or acrylic paint to draw your desired designs on the inside of the lids.
  • Get creative! Consider patterns like flowers, stars, or abstract designs.

Apply the Contact Paper

  • Cut the contact paper to fit the inside of the lid.
  • Carefully peel off the backing and place it sticky side down over your design to create a sealed surface.

Cut and Hang

  • Cut off any excess contact paper from the edges of the lid.
  • Use the craft knife to make a small hole at the top of each lid.
  • Thread the string or fishing line through the hole for hanging.

Display and Enjoy

  • Hang your suncatchers in sunny spots around your home.
  • Watch as sunlight dances through your creations, creating magical effects.

Notes

Experiment with different types of paint (glow-in-the-dark or metallic) for unique effects. Use colored or patterned contact paper for a fun base. Try using pressed flowers or leaves between the layers for an organic look.
