Preparation
- Shape the white pipe cleaners into a tree form. Twist them together to create branches and a trunk, leaving enough space to stand in your container.
- In a small bowl, combine 1 cup of baking soda with 1/2 cup of water. Stir the mixture until it is well blended.
- Divide the mixture into separate bowls and add different colors of food coloring into each bowl. Create a rainbow effect by using a variety of colors.
- Place the tree inside the glass jar or container. Carefully pour the colored solutions over the tree, ensuring even coverage.
- Leave your tree set for several hours or overnight. As the water evaporates, crystals will begin to form on the branches, creating a beautiful snowy effect.
- Once the crystals have formed, hang your tree using string, or display it in the container to show off the stunning results.
