  • 1 cup Vinegar Add slowly to create fizz.
  • 3-5 drops Food coloring (various colors) Use different colors for each cup.
  • 1 set Clear cups or containers Use for mixing.
  • 1 piece Baking tray or large shallow dish To catch spills.
  • 1 piece Spoon or dropper For adding vinegar.
  • 1 pair Protective eyewear (optional) Recommended for safety.

Preparation

  • Set up a spacious workspace. Lay down a baking tray to catch any spills.
  • Gather all your materials.

Making the Rainbow

  • Fill each cup with a few tablespoons of baking soda.
  • Add food coloring: Choose different colors for each cup and mix them into the baking soda.
  • Slowly pour vinegar into each cup, one at a time.

Watch the Magic Happen

  • Observe as the vinegar starts to react with the baking soda. Watch the fizzing bubbles and vibrant colors erupt!
  • Take notes or photos of the reactions!

Notes
