  • 1 piece Bowl for mixing
  • 1 piece Scissors For cutting the bottle
  • 1 piece Tray or large container To catch bubbles

Instructions

Preparation

  • Take your plastic water bottle and cut off the bottom using scissors.
  • In a bowl, mix 1 cup of water with 2 tablespoons of dish soap.
  • Add a few drops of food coloring to the mixture and stir gently to avoid creating bubbles.
  • Slip an old sock over the cut end of the bottle, ensuring it covers the opening completely but is loose enough to allow air to flow through.

Creating Bubble Snakes

  • Dip the sock-covered end into the bubble mixture, letting it soak up the soap solution.
  • Place your mouth around the top of the bottle and blow gently.
  • Watch as colorful bubble snakes emerge!

Exploration

  • Move the bottle in different directions to see how long you can make the bubble snakes.
  • Try using different colors or a combination of colors for a rainbow effect.

Notes

Use different sizes of bottles for varying snake lengths. Consider using washable paint or add glitter for additional fun. Always supervise children during the activity.
