Ingredients
  

Craft Materials

  • 2 tablespoons Dish soap Liquid dish soap for bubble solution.
  • 1 tablespoon Baking soda Enhances bubble formation.
  • 1 cup Water Base for bubble solution.
  • as needed drops Food coloring (various colors) For creating colorful bubbles.
  • 1 piece Plastic bottles (empty and clean) To create the bubble tool.
  • 1 piece Straws (regular or bubble straws) For blowing bubbles.
  • 1 piece Bowl or shallow dish To hold the bubble solution.
  • 1 pair Scissors (for adult use) For cutting the plastic bottle.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Use scissors to cut the bottom off the plastic bottle. Adult supervision is recommended.
  • Place the bottle upside down in a bowl or shallow dish.

Mixing Solution

  • In a separate bowl, mix together 1 cup of water, 2 tablespoons of dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of baking soda.
  • Stir gently to avoid creating bubbles in the mixture.

Adding Color

  • Add a few drops of food coloring to your solution. Swirl it gently to mix, creating a colorful bubble solution.

Assembling Your Craft

  • Insert a straw into the neck of the bottle (the end that you didn’t cut). Ensure it fits snugly to prevent air from escaping.

Creating Bubble Snakes

  • Dip the cut end of the bottle into your colorful bubble solution.
  • Blow gently through the straw. Watch as delightful bubble snakes emerge, swirling and forming in vibrant hues!

Notes

Experiment with different food colors for unique bubble combinations. Conduct this activity outside to keep messes contained.
