Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs 6 large eggs (hollowed out) Eggs should be carefully hollowed out and rinsed.
  • 2 tablespoons Baking soda For the baking soda mixture.
  • few drops Dish soap Enhances fizzing but optional.
  • variety colors Food coloring Different colors for vibrant eruptions.
  • 1–2 tablespoons Vinegar For the reaction.
  • as needed Water For cleaning purposes.

Tools

  • Small cups or containers For mixing the ingredients.
  • Plastic squeeze bottles or droppers To fill the eggs with the baking soda mixture.
  • Paper towels For clean-up.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Carefully hollow out the eggs by creating small holes at each end. Rinse out the insides and let dry.

Mix the Ingredients

  • In a small cup, combine 2 tablespoons of baking soda and a few drops of dish soap.
  • Add a few drops of food coloring to the mixture for vibrant hues.

Fill the Eggs

  • Using a funnel or squeeze bottle, fill each hollow egg with the baking soda mixture. Leave space at the top for the vinegar.

Eruption

  • In another cup, measure out 1–2 tablespoons of vinegar. When you’re ready for the fun to begin, pour the vinegar into the egg quickly.
  • Step back and watch as the mixture fizzes and bubbles out of the egg, creating a colorful eruption!

Notes

Consider customizing colors and scents or decorating the eggshells beforehand for added fun. For variations, layer baking soda and vinegar to achieve a multicolored eruption.
