  • as needed String or pipe cleaners For creating the crystal structure
  • 1 Stove or microwave For heating water
  • 1 Stirring utensil For mixing the solution

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat 1 cup of water in your stove or microwave until it’s hot but not boiling.
  • Gradually stir in 2-3 cups of sugar until fully dissolved (or use Epsom salts for a different effect).
  • Add a few drops of food coloring and stir until you get your desired hue.

Setting Up the Jars

  • Prepare the glass or plastic jars for the crystal solution.
  • If using string or pipe cleaners, shape them into fun forms (like trees or spirals) and hang them inside the jars.

Pouring and Positioning

  • Carefully pour the colorful solution into each jar, ensuring the string or pipe cleaner is fully submerged.
  • Leave some space at the top to prevent overflow as crystals grow.

Letting It Grow

  • Place the jars in a warm, undisturbed location. Check back in 24 hours to see your crystals forming.
  • Be patient! Full crystal growth may take several days.

Enjoying Your Creation

  • Once crystals have formed to your liking, remove your structure and set your crystal display to enjoy!
