Ingredients

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 cups water Acts as the main liquid for the dough.
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil Adds moisture and richness to the dough.

Coloring

  • to taste Gel food coloring (various colors) Customize the dough with vibrant colors.

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and cream of tartar until the texture is light and fluffy.

Mixing

  • In another bowl or saucepan, combine the water and vegetable oil and mix well.

Heating

  • Pour the wet mixture into a saucepan and heat over medium heat, stirring continuously to avoid lumps until it thickens and forms a dough.

Coloring

  • Once the dough begins to form, divide it into separate bowls for each color you want and knead in the gel food coloring.

Cooling and Storage

  • Allow the dough to cool slightly, then wrap each color in wax paper or plastic wrap, and store in an airtight container when completely cooled.

Notes

Custom scents can be added with essential oils. Substitute coconut oil for a unique texture. Experiment with color blending and add glitter for sparkle.
