Ingredients
  

Materials

  • 1 container A clear glass or plastic container For holding water and colorful panels
  • 1 cup Water To fill the container
  • 1 light Flashlight or LED light To create the light effect
  • 1 sheet White paper or cardboard To cut into panels
  • 1 piece Scissors For cutting the paper or cardboard
  • 1 roll Clear tape To secure the colored panels
  • 5 drops Food coloring (red, yellow, blue, green, orange, purple) To dye the water for colorful effects
  • 1 optional Glitter For added sparkle

Preparation

  • Start by cleaning your clear container.
  • Fill it with water, leaving some space at the top.

Creating Colorful Panels

  • Cut out several shapes from the white paper or cardboard, about the same size as your container.
  • Use food coloring to dye small amounts of water in separate cups, one for each color you want.
  • Dip each paper or cardboard panel into the colored water and let it absorb the color.
  • Allow the panels to dry completely.

Setting Up Your Light Source

  • Place the flashlight or LED light at the base of your container, ensuring it’s stable and directed upwards.
  • If using a flashlight, you can shine it through the bottom of the container.

Assembling Your Rainbow Light Show

  • Arrange the colored panels around the container at varying heights.
  • Use tape if needed to keep them in place.

Creating the Magic

  • Turn off the lights in the room to enhance the effect.
  • Switch on your flashlight or LED light and watch as the colors dance and reflect through the water!

Notes

Experiment with different containers, add glitter for sparkle, and change the angle of your light for varied effects.
