Ingredients
  

Slime Base

  • 1 cup clear or white school glue Avoid washable glue for this recipe.
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda This adds elasticity to the slime.
  • 1 tablespoon contact lens solution This activates the slime.

Coloring and Decoration

  • as needed food coloring (various colors) Add drops to achieve desired colors.
  • as needed glitter or confetti Optional for extra sparkle.

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, mix 1 cup of glue with 1 cup of water. Stir thoroughly until well combined.
  • Stir in 1 teaspoon of baking soda.

Coloring

  • Divide the mixture into separate bowls for each color.
  • Add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl.

Activation

  • Add 1 tablespoon of contact lens solution to each bowl.
  • Stir each mixture until it begins to pull away from the sides of the bowl.

Kneading and Layering

  • Take each color out and knead it in your hands until it becomes smooth and stretchy.
  • Layer the different colors in a larger container to create your rainbow effect.

Notes

Consider adding essential oils for a fragrance, or swapping colors with natural dyes. Keep slime in an airtight container at room temperature.
